Dating back to the development of Typhoon Lagoon’s Surf Pool in 1988, Murphys Waves have been intimately involved in the growth and development of the commercial Surf Park industry. The launch of the Point Break Surf at Siam Park in Tenerife, which STILL holds the world record for the largest man-made surf wave (at 3.3m) and the subsequent opening of Wadi Adventure in Al Ain, were seen as game changers in the global surf pool market; propelling the sport into a global spotlight and paving the way for the advent of commercial surf pools and finally heralding the sport into the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
The new Shore Breaker Surf system aims to address the needs of surf park developers to deliver optimum wave performance for guests, while maintaining wave frequency and throughput for an effective ROI strategy. Our experienced team can guide developers on all areas of surf park development, from preliminary concept design to successful operation, all built on nearly 30 years’ experience in the industry.
Our range of sheet flow and deep flow surfing rides are the perfect complement to any surf park resort and can used to train kids and beginners on the fundamentals of surfing. Proven to increase revenue through increased F&B and retail sales, these rides will generate a great buzz around the resort and can remain open late into the evening, allowing revenue streams to be maintained.
